Resize Multiple Images Quickly in Windows 7

by Tanmay on Jan.17, 2010, under Tips & Tricks

Image resizing has always been a cumbersome job especially when it comes to batch resizing. With the megapixel count of Digital Cameras increasing at a steady rate, the size of image too increases making it hard to share these pictures online.

But a small Windows 7 compatible PowerToy called Image Resizer makes that job a simple 2 step process.

What it does is that it simply adds a shell script menu when you right click on any Picture. You can even select multiple pictures and batch resize them.

Enable Aero for Windows Vista and Windows 7 Basic

by Tanmay on Jan.05, 2010, under Tips & Tricks, Vista, Windows Se7en

Aero feature in Windows is pretty much the main highlight feature since Windows Vista.  Aero, introduced with Vista and provided a totally refreshing glass feel to your Windows.

But this Glass Effect, Transparancy or Flip3D was not made available for Home Basic verion of Windows. This primarly was not cause of the very low pricing, but was due to the Basic version being intended for low config systems.

It disables the internal hardware check which allows you to run Aero only it the tests are passed. All you got to do is download the application and click on Enable Aero.

Aero Enabler is a freeware but make sure you have .Net Framework 3.5 or higher installed.
